Becoming a Rock Star at #cuerockstar 2017

So, here I am at Cue Rock Star in Vista, California. It's hot out here today, and I'm thrilled to be in this air conditioned room with Mari Venturino and other colleagues, learning about how to create my own ed tech blog.

Why would I want to do this? I have a lot to say :). I love working in ed tech, and may have ideas worth sharing. I've been working as an ed tech TOSA for two years, and it's been a great ride so far. I have learned so so so so so so much, and I know that some of what I know can help many teachers and students. I became an ed tech TOSA, because I absolutely love ed tech. As a classroom teacher, I always have felt that integrating tech was my "niche," but I could only really help one classroom at a time! Sure, I would help and coach my colleagues, but that was just something for the tiny leftover nooks and crannies of my days. As an ed tech TOSA, I really felt I could have an impact on many more students, teachers, and administrators. I hope we can share ideas here-I know I have a lot to learn from the ed tech world, and maybe I can pass along some good ideas too. Let's do this!

  1. It's great that we have people guiding our use of technology in the classroom, so we can coordinate our efforts without just using "tech for the sake of using tech". Great job!

  3. That's awesome that you are now able to help even more teacher's than you could when you were in the classroom. A friend of mine always said his goal was "the greatest good for the greatest number". It sound like you are doing just that.

And as for the heat, it's 121ยบ F back home for me, so I am just enjoying the "cool" weather here right now :P
